December 2008 Activities & Ministry At A Glance

Angel Tree presents due - Saturday, December 6th.
Ladies' Fellowship & Get-together - Saturday, December 6th at 11:00 am.
Mission Breakfast - Sunday, December 7th at 8:30 am. We will be taking a special Christmas love offering for our missionaries.
Sunday School Ministry (Dec. 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th) at 9:30 am. We have a class for every age group and welcome you to "check us out!"
Sunday Morning Worship & Praise (Dec. 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th) at 10:30 am. Our pastor's messages are relevant, Scriptural and evangelical.
Angel Tree Family Celebration - Saturday, December 13th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
Sunday Evening Bible & Prayer Fellowship (Dec. 21st & 28th) at 6:00 pm. Click on our "Spiritual Formation" link for details about our Bible study series.
Sunday School Theme Event - December 14th at 9:30 am.
Church Christmas Celebration - Sunday, December 14th at 10:30 am.
Christmas Open-House at Parsonage - Sunday, December 14th at 5:30 pm.

Special Events In December ...

Sunday School Theme Event - Our Sunday School emphasis throughout the month of December will be ... "What gives you the warm fuzzes?" Our Scripture emphasis for December is Matthew 1:21. While there may be a host of things that seem to provide temporal satisfaction and security, only God's gift (Jesus) brings true warmth and security.

Angel Tree Family Celebration - We will be having hosting on December 13th from 2-4 pm a family Christmas party for those involved in our Angel Tree ministry. All Angel Tree gifts and non-perishable food items need to be collected no later than December 6th.

Christmas Worship & Celebration - On December 14th at 10:30 am, we will have a special Christmas worship service with a mini Christmas Cantata and special carol selections sung by our children. This day of praise presents a wonderful opportunity to participate in and rediscover the real reason for the season.

Christmas Open House at Parsonage - Pastor Norm & Penny will be opening up their home on December 14th at 5:30 pm for a time of fun, food and fellowship. This is the Pastoral's family way of saying "Merry Christmas" to each and every one and to express their appreciation for all the love and kindness that has been lavished on them.
